The ocean is full of wonders, and even though only 5% of it has been explored, what we have discovered showcases incredible design! Dive through the secrets in our oceans and see the LORD’s design from jellyfish to “Nemo and Dory,” and the detail that is needed to sustain their life.

Does the jellyfish have a brain? How could an octopus have developed 3 different hearts over millions of years? Evolution struggles to answer these questions, but our Creator God has the answers!

Evolution? Or Creation?

Did you know that butterfly fish can change color?! Yes! They can change to a darker version of their colors. They change colors for various reasons like to assert dominance or to hide from a predator. To also hide from predators they have the black spot on their back that will distract any predator looking to eat them!

Did you also know that the octopus has three hearts?  Two of the hearts work exclusively to move blood past its gills, where it releases carbon dioxide and gains oxygen.  The third heart circulates that oxygen-rich blood to the organs and muscles, giving them energy. But that third heart stops beating when the octopus swims.

How could these features have just developed over millions of years? How would the butterfly fish know to change colors to avoid predators if it kept getting eaten and had no chance to pass on its knowledge through its offspring? How could the octopus have developed three different hearts for all those primary functions needed to keep the blood pumping through its body? If it only had one heart and had to develop to the other hearts the body would have stopped working because of its need for the three hearts to be working perfectly together in harmony. Evolution can not answer these questions but a Creator God can.

These are just a few of our amazing exhibits and points we talk about as we take you through the aquarium and ocean life exhibits.
